I'm in the US. The wood of the cone is fine. The screw and metal ring have come off in transit, the threads at the end have been stripped clean. Ideally I need a new ring/screw and ideally a new adjustable rod are needed. I'm not sure I can get just a new ring and screw that would fit this cone...

Makes sense, from what I've read it's a pretty decent bag, not hardshell but it sounds beefy.

Well Im not the biggest fan of the tone on the CR currently. So I was thinking that $300 spent on an electronics/ hardware upgrade could get me better tone than a $300 bass after seeing what's in that price range online.

I feel like I already know the answer, but also love to consult the oracles.
