Alright, alright, probably one of the more boring NBD threads. GC had these for $350 over the weekend so I finally have a P-bass. I usually play a G&L Kiloton Tribute (Irish Ale Red, the older heavy one with a swamp ash body). Love the G&L but this feels at least two pounds lighter and... Surf...

What are the odds? I just received a Squier CV P-Bass yesterday... and it all it needs is electronics, strings and a set up :) I'll take it.

I'll get a P Bass someday... the big selling point on the G&L is that they advertise top quality electronics at this price point, which makes a big difference in my living room venue with cloth insulated non-grounded wiring. (There's GFCI protection on every circuit but no grounding)

Thanks all! I pulled the trigger yesterday on a Reverb excellent condition G&L Kiloton Tribute in red with a padded bag and chrome flats. Pretty psyched! With shipping and tax it came out to under $500. Once it arrives I can take apart my Squier and see what's up with the output jack that's on...

I have some GAS for a P Bass, either Squier or MIM given that I'm still pretty much starting out as far as playing goes and really I'm just GASing for no reason. I'd like to have a second Bass to put flats on at some point and I just like the simplicity of the P. I'm taking a look at this one...

Curious why there's never a recommendation for the Ehx bass preacher? I've never used one but it appears very simple and inexpensive. Just acquired a Keeley, couldn't be happier
