    Beta 10a spec. question.

He totally gets the building techniques, that's why I want to go with the build. I'm just trying to think if there might be a better driver out there for my needs?

    Beta 10a spec. question.

I've been playing an Orange OBC 410 for quite some time. I've noticed, however, it's way too heavy. IMO a 410 shouldn't weigh that much, it is overbuilt for a light gigger. I'm looking to build my own cab with my father who used to build PA systems. I'm thinking of going with the Beta 10a...

Last minute tour! Need last minute rig!

My main issue with an 810 is that I live in Brooklyn, Ny. My practice space is on the third floor and my apartment is on the 9th floor, with no elevators. NYC stair cases are windy and small. I used to have a real hard time with my SVT 610, so if I go the 810 route, it has to be (2) 410's. I...

I DO want the berg, I want the berg to handle all types of venues, the price of the cab is going to set me back a few decades. But from what I'm reading, well worth it!

Might I be better with the (2) Gk MBE's with road cases? Like I said, tone isn't as much of an issue,. My band is pretty lo-fi and I'm not very picky with tone. I also trust Gk, much more than Ampeg.

Sweeet, thanks everyone! I really like the GK 410mbe as well. Maybe down the road I will pick up a 4ohm one to use for the practice space/local gigs. When a bandmate calls me 8pm on a Wednesday and asks if I want to play a gig that we go on at 10, I'll be more willing with a 45 pound cab.

I know I keep asking this, but sometimes I need to be told more than once, for extra reassurance. The 610 should be pretty road worthy and loud enough with a SVT-7 for most large gigs?

All of the cab recs sound awesome, but I'm really looking to buy and not rent. Also, my local shop owner is setting me up with a payment plan and since he's childhood friends with my parents, he won't expect payment when I'm on the road. The guy is a nice person. But I'm leaning towards the...

Well, typically if I'm having problems with PA support, so is the rest of my band. If I sound good and they don't, it doesn't matter. How is the NV610 volume wise compared to an 810? I would love to throw this thing in a built in road case and make it my for life touring rig.

This cab is in THAT bad of condition. Also, it's recently taken a tumble and two of the magnets fell off the drivers. I glued them back on and it sounds fine, I just can't trust this thing. Anyone want to buy a SVT 410he cab in great condition, never abused?............................Just kidding.

Thanks for the good words. I've seen that cab before, but since I'm in a money pit and have to rely on the good faith of my local music shop owner, I'm limited to the cabs I listed.

I used to own an Ampeg 610. I'm a sealed cab guy.

I would, but my current 410 is in very bad shape and don't think it's road worthy.

I need the cab by this evening and I can easily set a payment plan up with my local music shop, the owner is a friend of the family. So I'm stuck to this shop. If an 810 isn't necessary, I'm going with the NV610. But I want something on the road that can handle what I need.
