My thoughts exactly. Play the songs your audience wants to hear, the way they want to hear them. If every band in your town plays [old tired cover], there is probably a good reason why. Nothing wrong with playing that same popular song, just play it better than everyone else.

What is it about the Fender that you do not like?

Do you still own all of these other instruments? If so, why didn't you sell one or more of the other instruments to raise more capital to get the new one you "needed"?

Debt restructuring is much more likely than liquidation. Very few, if any, pre-packed bankruptcies end in liquidation.

Agreed! An expensive bass won't make a newbie any worse than a cheap one. Buying the best someone can afford is sage advice.

I love my RW Jazz. Plays great, it is clearly well made, and the neck feels amazing. Love or hate the factory relic job, I think everyone should at least try one out.

No single genre of music is for everyone. I don't remember seeing anyone post anything about not liking that style of music. Just a bunch of posts stating the singer doesn't seem to be anything particularly special within her genre. Her parents are paying for her to live out a dream even if...

Thanks for the link. Band was okay but I would be very surprised if it went anywhere. Socal is loaded with similar acts that have better talent/looks/stage presence.

According to this [British] newspaper, violent crime in the UK is worse than in the US and among the highest of all first world countries. I don't know if US residents are safer because of gun ownership. However, there is clearly less violent crime here compared to the UK. Invalid Link Removed
