That's silly. If the band had given him a video privately, he should keep it private. But this is ALREADY PUBLIC. The BAND made it public. The band WANTS people to see it.

I saw the video while the link was posted, and I don't think it matters to the discussion. It was well produced, but the band won't be using the same production talent any more. It basically showcases the singer in a studio environment.

Thanks for the link. Band was okay but I would be very surprised if it went anywhere. Socal is loaded with similar acts that have better talent/looks/stage presence.

For video, try finding some media students. I go to a school for half the school day that's like vocational school for highschoolers, and do a lot of videos/music stuff for media arts class. My friend alex got hired by a college football team as a videographer just because of his projects. A lot of students can be competent and do it cheaply.

I know their music is not for everyone. Prior to this my son was in a metal core / screamo band. He could only take it for one rehearsal. Now if anyone knows of a shoegaze teen band that needs a guitarist or bassist hit me up!

No single genre of music is for everyone. I don't remember seeing anyone post anything about not liking that style of music. Just a bunch of posts stating the singer doesn't seem to be anything particularly special within her genre.

Her parents are paying for her to live out a dream even if it is going nowhere in the long run. Nothing wrong with that as long as they set her up with realistic expectations. Same goes for the parents of the back up band members. As long as everyone knows they are funding someone else's fantasy camp, they should just have fun.
