If there are ones selling for 200-300$ on ebay wouldn't they still make a small amount of profit it they repriced it and re-sold it?
If it were me I would have sold it individually on ebay but I can understand why the OP did what he did.

OP never said he accepted the buyback offer. It sounded like he was only yanking their chain, more fool him anyway.
I accepted the buy back offer. And they actual do give me deals every now and then because there have been a few times where I've pointed out to them that they were underselling items or told them that there was no market here for what they were selling. For example they had a Vader guitar 4x12 that they were selling for only $300 which is underpriced as hell. It's also something that mainly death metal guys play. I explained to them that the company was out of business, the cabs were highly sought after by death metal guys and this part of the state didn't really have that much of a market for it. So they put it on ebay and it sold for $700 within a few days. They were very appreciative of it. As far as this transaction goes, they're going to see it as me showing them they missed something. They're either going to put it on ebay now and get possibly double what they paid me or send it to one of their stores in a larger area. Even though I was a smartass about it, they were appreciative of it.
Also, this isn't a pawn shop where I tend to find things I want. Once in a blue moon I will, but generally speaking they have nothing good. I live in a small midwestern town. All of the musicians with quality instruments resell them to actual guitar retailers than the pawn shop. If you're looking for really old beat up Hartke, Peavey and Dean products it's the place to go.
And I didn't turn around and sell it on ebay because to me it's too much of hassle. I could put it up there and get my money back in maybe as quick as a week or it could be a few months. I'd rather take my profit now than have to wait.

Yeah you should have kept it that said they aren't selling for $300 anymore, closer to $200 and I saw one over here go for about $125, it's a very unstable product and I think the arse is going to fall out of the market and they'll be stuck with it at $200 or so.

Depends if they are buyers or sellers. E.g. IF the pawn shop is getting $300 for that pedal then they might give someone who needs to pawn $200. If they only get $30 then the next guy who needs to pawn one only gets $10 (maybe).
2 Pawnshop in my area both ask crazy prices, like used Squires for $300.. I can only assume they are laundering money or something else, the pawn shop is just a front, it ain't making a dime.
my brother bought a zakk wylde chorus pedal for $15 at guitar center. someone returned it or didn't pick it their order, or somthing like that. it was on display with a $15 price tag. they had to sell it for the price. their boss was pissed.
