Gear is ultimately gear. While I think that certain pieces definitely have a mojo of sorts, all of the best players sound like “them” no matter what they’re playing through. I’ve been playing through a v4b for years now, and it still inspires me just like the day I got it!

I really love my diamond bass compressor, especially if you’re looking for light compression as an always on. Definitely colors your tone, but in such a pleasing way! The tilt eq is also a nice touch

Update: after a few days I am absolutely in love with the neck profile. It definitely inspires you to play it a certain way. Tone from the pickups is super punchy! Also has some interesting characteristics when used with overdrive/fuzz. Don’t see myself playing another bass for quite some time!
