    I agree, another bass is the best backup to have. I've only had problems with other equipment once, that was when the crossover in my speaker cab caught fire. Wasn't much fun playing through the PA the rest of the night, but we had some great smoke effects there for a few minutes!

    Rounds...using Dean Markley Blue Steel on both my 4- and 5-string. Agreed on the Fender nylons...blech.

    Yeah, didn't mean to impinge the Squire nor Fender brands with that...I just meant, I believe this bass was made by a large company, just with a different 'imprint', a la Fender and Squire. I've since been told that it may have been made by Cort, who apparently made some basses exclusively...
