It was the boom of the modulus that had me hooked. Sadly, Its hard to find a Modulus around my area. We have a few Stingrays, Sterlings, Presicion, Jazz, etc., but no modulus anywhere! Lucky, the local music store are planning on getting some. :)
Some times Im going to need a pick for things. (i.e. My band's songs) Using a pick sounds somewhat different than using fingers. I want a sound like that, but still keeps the thump.
Hello, Im a bassist from Vancouver, BC. Ive been playing bass for a while, maybe about two years now. Some advice on how to get started here on TalkBass would be well appreciated. Ive already posted some threads and such.
Alright, so the fellas at my local music shop were having a small debate on which bass was better: Modulus or MM Stingray. Both sides had good points and better rebuttals, but in the end, We called it a draw. I figured the bassists at TalkBass would have much to say on this topic, so I decided...
Id have to say the quarter isnt exactly my cup of tea. I like it when the strings give a thump sound. I sounds great in my opinion. Any picks that give out that sound?
Copper picks? Those sound killer. Id love to give them a try. ^^ Maybe I should actually get some REAL picks instead of using this quarter. Thanks for the top tip!
