I'm still going to be using 2 Carvin BRX 4 ohm cabs.

I'm looking for an amp that I can run bi-amp 2 4 ohm cabs.

The latter, heads that can run 2 4ohm cabs in bi-amp mode.

I'm going to buy a new bass amp head that goes down to 2 ohms besides a Carvin. Been using their stuff since 2007 and way too many reliability issues, I'm done with them. I want to bi-amp, using 2 4 ohm cabs. Interested in the 2001rb Gallien-Kreuger, that's around the price point of something...

I use a BX500 paired with a BRX10.2 for certain gigs and flat out its loud, deep and punchy. Does the trick for medium sized venues of 100 to 300 people. Anything larger I have a big rig I use for that.

If I live long enough or don't get maimed along the way, I will be a member of this club in Sept 2014. JUST SAYIN'.

I used a BX500 and BRX 10.2 for 3 yrs, always sounded great.

I just received my BX1500 and need some pointers on how to use the High Mid,Mid and Low Mid freq sweep controls. I know a little about frequencies, but really don't understand them when it pertains to this complex amp. I'm looking for suggestions, thank you.

I've had the MB15 w/ext. 1-15 cab for 4 mths now and it's very quiet, no noise at all. Sounds like you got a faulty unit, call Carvin and they'll replace it. Good luck. ;)

I've been using my BX500 at 2 ohms since 2009 and have never had a problem. I do use BRX10.2 and BRX10.4 cabs which are 4 ohm cabs.

I own 8 basses, 6 of which I bought brand new.

I've been playing 5's for 12 yrs and won't even look at a 4 anymore.

In 1999 I got real tired of playing songs in Eb and having to have to detune so I said **** it and started playing a 5 string and haven't looked back since.

I've never had a problem with playing in the heat when it's been around a 100 or more. Of coarse, I've always been in the shade. I won't do gigs where there is no shade for the musicians, I can't handle it.

Started playing 5 string back in 2000. It took me about a month.
