I too have a P strung with Sunbeams. Big, warm sound and smooth to the touch (at least as far as roundwounds go). But I have been dying to try TI Jazz flats.

My initial impression is that these strings rock. I've never been satisfied with the way a string sounds and feels right out of the box, but Sunbeams really hit the spot. I've barely spent any time with them yet, but so far I do not regret my decision.

Carlis, does the lighter set feel at all wimpy to you or does it still produce a big sound? I play mostly fingerstyle with a decently light touch.

Depends on where I'm plucking. I tend to do both.

Seems like everyone has a different method/experience. I wouldn't say I struggle with learning the fretboard, but it is a slow going process. To each their own I suppose.
