I recommend you exert a great deal of time learning 4'33" and then go wow them. Only the unenlightened will not be impressed with your mind-numbing skills.

I've never understood the "pick vs. fingers" or the "Roundwound vs. Flatwound" thing anyway. Just replace "vs." with "and". It's like getting snippy about Bass vs. Vocals or Drums vs. Keyboard. I like different sounds, sure I have my preferences and they are the right choice for me at this time...

I have an MB10 and I've finally dialed in a sound I like. Now I do have very basic needs but I DO like the sound a lot but it doesn't seem very loud to me at all. I've seen the threads about loudness & watts and I'm certainly not expecting a definitive, once & for all answer just some opinions...

Thanks to everyone who has replied and I am open to more suggestions. As of now I'm proceeding kind of like fearceol recommends, i.e. including just trying to figure out songs strictly by ear for the ending portion of play sessions. I figure I can focus on learning/memorizing some easy songs...
