Closures are dumb, stupid & not very smart
I have an MB10 and I've finally dialed in a sound I like. Now I do have very basic needs but I DO like the sound a lot but it doesn't seem very loud to me at all. I've seen the threads about loudness & watts and I'm certainly not expecting a definitive, once & for all answer just some opinions and/or pointing out of relevant facts.

If I get the 210 Extension Cabinet how much of a volume increase might I experience? I have no specific needs at this exact moment as I'm still working on more pressing matters in regards to my skills:laugh: but would you (plural) recommend getting the 210 or looking into something much bigger watt wise? Remember I do like the sound I'm getting out the MB10 I'm getting currently (though I can't speak to the long term quality of the amp) so please focus on that and not any particular love or dis-love :) in regards to Carvin itself.

Mucho Thankias

The 115 extension cab would be a much better choice IMO.

I think you'd have a pretty awesome rig with the 210 (8 ohm) extension cab. Three 10s would be nice... that would be 250w into 4 ohms, and a notable increase in volume... though that wouldn't enough SPL for my personal existence; last weekend, my outdoor gig needed every bit of the BX1500 I could feed my 2 fEARfuls.
FWIW, 15 years ago I despised Carvin and their Service... today I adore their amps; three bass amps with zero ever problems. BTW, last weekend's outdoor thing was 2PM -8:15PM, 100 degrees, playing that BX1500 hard and hot, and while two Mackie PA subs shut down (permanently), I had zero -I mean zero- problems. Yeah, for 500 people, we were loud. We got chanted "One more song! One more song!" twice after we were supposed to be done. I'm too old for this stuff! Just go out and have fun.

I think it would make a big improvement in overall sound and volume. I have the mb15 with the 15" extension and their is a big difference in sound and volume with the extra cab. One guy said he was at the Carvin store and tried all the combos with various speaker cabs and his favorite was the mb10 with the 15" extension. He said it was loud and full sounding. His next favorite was the setup I have. You may want to call Carvin and tell them what your needs are and see what they have to say.
