    I found DR stainless steel strings to be a bit harsh in the upper treble regions. I'm using nickels and they suit the barts very well.

    +1 It was probably a one off incident. I've purchased from them many times before, with one bad experience, and they worked hard to make it right.

    I hear ya. Giving constructive criticism could help people understand why something wouldn't be appreciated, and could actually make us better musicians. "Berlin sux, Cliff Burton's the best" comments don't do much for anyone :(

    I think it's ok for someone to give an opinion that this style doesn't speak to them. I love Coltrane, but I get why people wouldn't like him. For sure, Feraud and Berlin do things that I could probably never do, and I respect it, but they don't really do anything for me.

    A hard lesson most Chancellor tone enthusiasts will need to learn. It definitely doesn't fit many contexts. All IMO, of course.

    There's a youtube vid with a guy comparing two turbo rats, one with the lm308 and the other with the regular (most recent) chip, and it wasn't really that night and day. I suspect other mods help in a more noticable way, like the ruetz mod.
