What exactly is a 'Direct Out' anyway? I thought I could plug from this XLR out jack on the bass directly into the input on my Apogee and record. Maybe this is not even possible?

Thanks for the response. I am generally new to recording. I purchased a brand new XLR cable for this, and got a 'balanced' one. Was that correct? Is there any way to troubleshoot the Apogee ONE? I unfortunately do not have anything else with an XLR out to plug into the ONE

Hello I recently moved to a new apartment and have been having trouble with my bass. Whenever I turn the amp up, I get small little electric shocks when I make contact with the frets, bridge, anything metallic on the instrument. This has not happened before. What could the problem be?

I have the 112 and am considering trading up to the 115 while the return window is open, not sure if its worth it though

Hello Anybody familiar with these amps able to comment on whether the 115 has more headroom than the 112? They are both 200w, but I'm not too experienced with bass amps so I don't know if this means they should have the same headroom. Thanks.

Thanks everybody for the help. I have found a Tribute SB-2 in black and am nearly ready to order. One last thing to help, can anybody compare the necks of the Tribute SB-2 and Tribute L-2000 to today's Standard MIM J Basses? I don't live anywhere near a G&L distributor to play for myself. Thanks!
