To be honest, I didn't ask.

I returned it. Even Tech21 was befuddled by the problem from what they told me. Perhaps I'll wait a year or so when the price comes down on them before I get another one. Shame because I had high hopes for this unit.

It seems the unit intermittently decides to stop pushing out any tone. When this happens, nothing works except for the +10dB boost. The levels, the Master Volume, the tone knobs, nothing...? I found that if I unplug the unit and wait about 15 minutes and plug it back in, it works... But then...

I'd say about 8 or 9...

That's what I figured... Until it happened two times in a row. What are the odds of that? A bad batch maybe?

Crazy thing is I've been putting these same strings on for over a year and this is the first time this ever happened...

The brand is Ernie Ball Cobalt strings and it's a 130. I've been using those strings for over a year. A guitar repair buddy of mine said the same thing, to check for burrs. And I could always top load the B string for the time being. Thank you for your responses. I will keep you advised.

I tried changing strings and this happened... This was not a result of over-tightening as I've done this quite a few times. First time I figured it was a faulty string. Then it did it a second time... What gives? Anyone have any thoughts?

I have a few pricey basses, but I still seem to always come back to my 5 string Squier jazz... The neck (for me) just feels great. I did however change out the bridge for a Hipshot hi-mass and the pickups for Seymour Duncan quarter pounders.

Maybe someone here can help me with this... I have a pair of EMG 40hz soapbar pups and a whole drawer full of emg solderless wires (I have a big junk drawer). The only thing I can't find is a proper diagram for a "solderless wire" install for two 40hz's, 2 volumes, and one passive tone tone...

Bought a BH800. Will be in today or tomorrow. I like all the features except the inability to tune a bass to "half step down" with the built-in tuner and the fact there is no effects loop (for say my Morley Dual Bass Wah). Maybe they will make a software upgrade for the tuner issue someday...

I have a GK NEO 412 cab that can handle 1200w. Has anyone had this combination with the MB800 head? If so... Thoughts? Opinions? TIA WOMP
