Eden World Tour Direct Box: Anybody currently using?

I was excited about getting one but quite dissatisfied once I got it. Unless you turn down the gain on your instrument to almost zero, you get hiss and distortion. Then I found out this was normal. It's been in the box ever since. I was expecting more from Eden and then my WT-550 went out on me...

We need an opening band in DC, details within, 3 upcoming dates

I'd definitely jump on this if it weren't for the distance. We're an original alt country/americana band from the Hampton Roads area and we're used to playing for crumbs. We'd love to break into the Richmond area if we could. If you ever get something a little closer, let me know. Here's...

The official "Show your basses" thread part 17!

My newest acquisition. Circa 1994 Fender Sage body with Demarzio pickups and Gotah bridge. Warmoth ebony fretless neck with flatwounds.

    Official Fender Bassman club

Here's my 2006 Bassman 150. It's been a real workhorse at home and for small gigs.

    Is A Combo Enough

That's a very good point. When I stand in front of my cabinets the sound is not as full as when I get out in front with my wireless. Often I am too loud and don't realize it.

    Is A Combo Enough

I think you will be ok if the room is not too large. I started out with a Bassman 150/1x12 and unless the drummer was really pounding, I could hang. I was however pretty much maxed out and eventually blew my horn in a year. But for $90 I had another one and was back in business. Now I play...

    Bassman Power Switch

After a trip to Radio Shack I came home with a panel-mount neon light for 120V AC. All it took was a small hole drilled into the front panel and two solder joints and now I have an amber (wanted to be different) indicator next to my power switch. Easy job.

    Bassman Power Switch

I just had the exact same thing go wrong with mine and it was exactly as you described. One lead was broken off right at the base of the bulb. No chance in soldering that back on. I'm going to see about just replacing the bulb with something else if I can find it.

    TB Muscle car thread.

It was getting mid-12s back in the day with the 4.56 gear and the the big cam (on those tires). Now it's just a cruiser for me.

    TB Muscle car thread.

I think this qualifies as a true muscle car. 1972 Dodge Charger Rallye. Only about 630 made. I've owned it for 26 years. Although it originally came with a 440 single-four, it's had a factory Six-Pack in it for the past twenty. The red candy lacquer changes color quite a bit with sun angle...

Wondering about a decent, inexpensive amp for practice and maybe some small gigs?

I've been playing small gigs with a Fender Bassman 150 combo. It's still portable but can cut through drums in a small venue. $450+ new so a used one would be a better deal. It can also kick back 45 degrees and has audio input and headphone out so you can play along quietly for practice.

    Cool Windows icon

I had to get a new computer today and when I set it up I discovered that among the very few user account icons, there was one of a bass clef. Pretty cool. Sure beats the kitty cat.

    What about Eminance speakers?

According to the repair shop, its two years on the speaker but five on the electronics. It has "Eminance" written on the label along with "Made in China"

Should ships be armed to combat pirates?

Ok. You got me started. This exactly what we should do. But we will never be allowed to do that just like we could never fight the Irag war the way it needed to be fought. Brute force is necessary but frowned upon anymore, lest anyone get hurt.
