    carvin bass kits

I put together one of these kits years ago for a friend when the actives were only offered with the MM style humbucker pickup in the bridge and it turned out well. I didnt like the tone of the humbucker pickup as well as the single coil but, but it was still a solid bass and easy to put together...

    EMG solderless

Anyone have issues installing EMG's with the new solderless system? I have tried wiring it every way possible and cant get it working. In the past I have used EMG's before the solderless without a problem.

    EMG-HZ to EMG's

Do really need to swap out the electronics or can I be lazy just simply swap them in with the quick connect?

    Rack Setup?

The 8 space does get old I run an Ampegsvt4, rack tuner, sonic maximizer, a 2 space drawer with a few tools and strings to fix things on the fly, and a wireless in my last space which i hardly ever use cause it seems to change my tone but i keep in the rack so it doesn't get broken.

    Bass Head Vs. Preamp+Power Amp?

Just a thought run a different pre on each side of the power amp and set them to a far spectrum of each other and it blends for a really cool mix.
