i have had it checked out and intonated before my band went into the studio and i play mostly on the the E and A strings (band is in drop C#) just because of the style, but when i get up to the 8th fret it was far out of tune and even on the first fret there was major problems on my E string...

question, how do these basses do for intonation? i have a jazz 24 right now and it is complete crap....

would you be willing to sell just the new tubes? if so how much???? i have a 400+ and i need to retube badly but it costs way too much pm me plz

i would say definetley hit your kids, its fun and entertains other people.

i've used the ones that don't say monel on them and they are the best i've tried for flats. very woody and natural sounding.

if your amp is the same wattage as your guitarists, you will still have problems because it takes more watts to make bass as loud as guitar. you definetley need a new amp.

you plug one end of one cable into your bass, then the other end into the imput of an effect, then you get another cable and plug it into the output of the effect and into the input of your amp pretty simple really

i also had a similar problem with mine, except the filter capacitor broke off and it was a under $100 fix
