when did i say i was playing w/ a 65 watt....

my practice amp might be 65....but gigs i have a 105 watt Univox Tube head and a GK 4X10

bare with me here...at 15 you dont have alot of cash to fling around and buy stuff

Dude those are practice amps. I'm in a dorm right now.
I'm not trying to play over guitar or drums.

like other have said, you need a bigger watt amp.

But i still use my MXR M-80 DI to get the sound i wanted from my bass. I flat or turn off all EQ from the bass amp and i use my MXR to adjust the sound i wanted all the time. That works fine to me and it cut nice in the mix.

Man, I don't have an amp whose max rating is less than 800 watts right now. I like not having to dime volume. You need more power, and if you want different sound, get a pedal later.

I kinda read that in the original post the OP was looking for something to make a passive Fender "deep and punchy".

if your amp is the same wattage as your guitarists, you will still have problems because it takes more watts to make bass as loud as guitar.

you definetley need a new amp.

Sure, but do you think a subtle tone-shaping pedal can achieve that when his amp is so small and his guitarists are loud? Even the 105W tube amp, if his guitarists are cranked up, that 105W tube amp simply cannot punch through no matter how "toneful" his input signal might be. If he was already using an adequate amp then the tone-shaping suggestions would be relevant.

Totally understandable, we were all 15 and broke once (I'm broke and not even 15). This is why spending money on something that will not fix your problem is an even worse idea. Hold onto the $100 you would have spent on some pedal, sell your amp(s) if possible and get something with more power. Failing that, save up. You can get completely usable amps for pretty cheap these days.

I'd say Sadowsky Preamp/DI or you can wait for the new Aguilar ToneHamer.
