So I have a 73 and a 2002. Both have the same problem. The neck is VERY slow. I may be wrong but Ric use shellac as opposed to poly and over time it gets sticky. I don't want to sand it off so does anyone have a better way to slicken the neck without that extreme of a measure?

Look at the stock Shector Research(spelling?) 8 string... that should work.
