Just my opinion, but less is more. The VTVT stacked set up is aesthetically more pleasing than three knobs. What would be the advantage of switching to the standard set up-- are you a knob turner? As to the pick up swap, I'm sure other opinions will follow. BTW, love the white pearl guard--...

Would Lakland verify its authenticity if you email the serial # to them? # 130408456 Seems like a long # for a signature bass for a premier artist. Not sure how easy it is to remove part of a decal. Skylines do not come with cases, so ...

As a follow up, I was able to string the bass without any issues. That is, the B string (and all the other strings) fit the nut and fit through the body (which is what I wanted, I did not try through the bridge) without any alteration. I did not need to remove any of the blue silk.

Thank you. I did see something about possibly removing the silk and allowing slack to avoid a twisting issue.

I'm thinking of changing strings to D'Addario Chromes on my US 55-94. The string gauges are 45; 65; 80; 100; and 132. The Standard Lakland B string is 128. Will this new B string be too large for the bridge or nut? I do not want to file the nut or alter the bridge. These are super long Flat...

    Bass amps... but in tweed

If it’s the look, perhaps a gator retro rack in tweed and whichever rack-able amp you have. [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] For cabs, Aguilar DB series came in boss tweed but you’ll have to find it used. No affiliation with seller below. For Sale - Aguilar DB112 stack - rare boss tweed! Or...

@Jardell Nicely stated. I understand what you mean. I feel like my US 55-94 was made with love by luthiers for me. :)

I did not click the link. I’m also not suggesting anything is wrong. I suppose I do not like the distinct element of one brand on another, like a Fodera butterfly on my Lakland headstock. It would be cool if Lakland came up with it.

Vicariously living through you! Congrats on the new rig. Such a sleek set up, but that can't be the only pedal?
