Just received my white pearl pickguard fromView attachment 5014938 Brian@Lakland today. Got it sent out real fast! Hopefully the double sided tape don't effect the finish when removed? I just laid it on to check the fit,and it is perfect.

Excuse me, I know it's a Lakland club in a fact I actually have 3 Lakland basses but a friend is offering me a trade and I'd like to know what you think.
I have a lakland JO 2004 US and my friend a beautiful F Bass PJ 4 fiesta red. The deal is my bass plus 1500 dollars for the F Bass, what do you think?

Value wise that should be a straight across trade based on what I see from Reverb sales. If he wants $1500 on top then he is ripping you off. That is putting a value on your USA Lakland at about $1000-1200. If you love the F bass then offer a straight trade. Even brand new those two basses would be close to the same price. In some cases the JO could be more new.

Excuse me, I know it's a Lakland club in a fact I actually have 3 Lakland basses but a friend is offering me a trade and I'd like to know what you think.

His asking price is not reasonable, but a straight up trade would be fair. The basses are of similar resale value.

That JO is beautiful. Personally I wouldn't trade it but I am sure the F bass is great.

@Don Vitos , just as an example when comparing new, it appears the two brands are in the same price and quality range.

From the F Bass website, new would be $4,000 (VF Series – FBASS)

Lakland US models range from $3,875 to $4,560 (4 String Basses - Lakland Bass Guitars)

Your "friend" is not being very friendly with his proposed offer by asking for $$$$ as part of the trade--assuming that both used basses are in similar condition. The pictures of both basses look great (excellent, maybe mint condition), so your bass would have to be non-functioning and his in mint condition to justify his terms.

I'm looking for a PJ, I like to the 44-64 but don't like the colors and this "friend" offered me this deal.

To be charitable, did your "friend" realise that your Lakland is a US model and not a skyline? Because a skyline + 1500 for a custom F bass does actually sound reasonable...

That's the idea! I was actually looking at this color but it is a very strong green for seafoam.It's the bass I want but I can't find a color that suits me.

Sweetwater has more color options in stock for the 44-64. Even more if you include the Geezer Butler model.
