I wondered why zen blade volume sounds smaller than my single coil traditional jazz bass PU although zen blade are humbucker. I know it has fairly low output and it is natural that sound smaller. I feel good since it is not wiring problem

I wired pickup internally series/parallel which can be switched. But In parallel together. So it is different from your setting. Also I use balancer(pan) pot and passive tone control. It is very useful

I installed Zen Blade 5 and the series/parallel 4PDT switch. And I can say series is more likely to Jazz bass than parallel in my opinion. Also zen blade takes preamp EQ well. I really like the sound! Good job Nordstrand Audio!
