Squier Deluxe Jazz Active V -- Unbelieveable Bass!

I agree.. $374 is way to much. I went to my local GC and paid 250 out the door. No doubt a pretty amazing bass. To bad the neck width was way big for me so upon good advice :) I retuned the Squier and purchased the Yamaha BB615. Love it!!

The Good News Channel.. Thank You Dwayne!!

A few weeks ago, I decided to buy the Squier Deluxe Jazz Bass Active V 5-String bass. Now, I have to mention that my primary role in the industry is more of a producer/writer and engineer than bass player or musician but I can do the job rather well with playing bass, guitar and keyboards...

    I did something on impulse

Hey guys, It is usually not in my nature to purchase anything on impulse but a couple weeks ago I purchased the Squier Deluxe Jazz V Active bass only because I dug the vibe and sound of this bass. First of all let me say I am not a bass player by trade but rather an engineer but I can play...

    For You Session Players

First of I want to thank you guys for your opinion. Very well received.. and also I want to apologize if this topic has been covered before. I guess in my "Search", I couldn't really fine what I was looking for. In all fairness, I guess any bass will do if the producer knows what he/she is...

    For You Session Players

Hey Guys, I'm sure some of you here are full time session players and have probably done some pop/rock in your time. If you were hired for any of that pop schlock top 40 (Avril Lavigne, Hillary Duff, Kelly Clarkson and even Hannah Montana), which bass for this kinda vibe would you bring...

    What would you use?

Yeah I noticed that about the Squier P pick ups as well. I guess it sort of defeats the purpose of getting the P bass but I'll certainly give your info a go. Thanks man!! Zack

    What would you use?

Thanks guys... Appreciate your input. I've yet to try either but in the event I don't borrow the P bass, can I make the Squier Jazz Bass sound close enough to it? I know, such newbie questions for you pros... :D

    What would you use?

Hey Guys, I own a new Squier Jazz Bass Deluxe (active) 5 String and I'm about to borrow a Squier P Bass Speacial V. I know the end result will be what I think of either of these 2 basses on my sessions (by trade I'm not a bass player but rather jack of all) but what would you personally use...

New Squier Jazz Bass Deluxe 5 String... Pics Inside...Review

Well I decided to get the J rather than the P and in Black. I have to say it is stunning and sounds pretty monstrous. Seriously worth it gor its $$. I'm still debating whether or not to also get the P version or is it not worth it? Anyone try one?

New Squier Jazz Bass Deluxe 5 String... Pics Inside...Review

Hi Bassic83, Thank you for the info. Tell me though, do several bass players use the Jazz (either Fender or Squier) for Pop/Rock ala (Kelly Clarkson, Avril, that kinda vibe)? Sorry for being ignorant. Still learning all this. Thanks again. Zack

Hey Guys, Can you tell me if there's a huge difference between the sound and workmanship of the Jazz version and the Precision (P Bass Special V)? Also, which one would most of you use on pop/rock top 40 sound? Thanks, Zack
