Phil Lesh from the Greatful Dead used this setup in concert. I still remember the tone of that Fender/JBL combo..I first saw them in the Auditorium Theater in Chicago with this setup...very impressive.

I would also check all the solder conections on the pots..these are fragile and can come lose during install. Also try a new battery. Also confirm that the pups are in phase with each other.

I have a similar tone monster installed on my Ibanez GSR...only the pickup grounds should be on this terminal blocks. Any other grounds should be terminated to the output jack ground. This $40 replacement from the existing PhatII circuit is a great addition to this entry level bass.

I still have my a Fender Bassman 25 that I bought for son to practice on 15 years ago. At the time I tried every 10" combo that GC had.....this was by far the best sounding. With tons of features and an honest 25 watts RMS, I would put this on the top of your used market list. Should be able...

I changed out my stock J bridge pickup on the Ibanez GSR200 with the DiMarzio Area J. No more hum and it balances nicely with the stock Split P pickup. I did have to use the Dremmel so slightly on the body for proper fit. Well worth the $60 investment on an inexpensive bass.

MB200...really sounds the best running it @200 watts/ 4 ohms.

Here is my 12/15" rig....each have there own qualities...combining the two as a 4 Ohm load give a well balanced tone since they are both 96 DB efficiency.
