Picked mine up today. They are low to mid quality -- good for practice and studio use, but I wouldn't tour with them. I recently bought a ProLine music stand which is much nicer, but was $40. I'll use it for playing out and these Musician's Gear stands for the house.

I just ordered a Kilobass to keep my T-Max twins company. Far more power than I will ever need. I'll post pictures when it arrives.

I think that 75 lbs in 9 months is pretty doable. I've lost 33 lbs in 3 months before just by cutting out all of the junk I was eating. The only caveat is that you have to start with more than 75 lbs of fat to begin with. The leaner you get, the harder it gets to drop the weight rapidly...

Bringing this thread back from the dead. Any other reputable repair shops in the CT/RI/MA area? I've got some hairline cracks in the neck of a bass that seem to originate at the neck screws. I don't feel comfortable having GC do any repairs. I'll be working in Groton in a few weeks, so maybe...

Another vote for an Ibanez GSR 200. I bought mine as my first bass years ago. Very good quality and sound for the price.
