Bee Baybee, Fanner PeeWee and Marleaux Consat Soprano (23" scale BEAD tenor bass tuning)

I find these super short scale basses interesting. The Bee Bass Baybee has a 23.5" scale, the Fanner Guitar Works PeeWee bass has a 22.8" scale, and the Marleaux Consat Soprano has a 22.44" scale. Seems like with this scale length you could take a regular set of EADG strings and tune it BEAD - one fifth higher than a regular bass, in the tenor bass range. The gauges of a normal EADG set would likely be at a proper tension when tuned up to BEAD on a bass with a scale in the 23" range.

Any thoughts on that?
