NBD from last week; just wondering - who makes these flats?

I posted an NBD event last week for my new (to me) 1993 Gibson USA Les Paul LPB-2 bass. Really like the feel of these strings. Dark blue silk on ball ends and on top as well.

Any idea who makes them?

You always learn something new 'round here :D

To me they don't have anything that doesn't look like Chromes. What are you finding suspicious?

Also the info about the ball ends will be quite helpful.

In my experience, a new set (recently installed) would look just like yours. But after some time and/or several string switches from one bass to another, they end up looking like that. Happened with both Chromes and Ernie Ball (and about any string with silks).

I'm really curious about these, now. Let's see if we can find out

They're almost definitely D'Addario Chromes, unless Gibson flats also use the same colours (which would strike me as odd).
I would ask users of the latter, jut to be sure.

Based on a past post, I see Gibson-branded short-scale flatwounds have wine red silk. Is it the case for the long-scale sets as well, or do those come with differently-coloured silk?
Also, do they have coloured ball-ends - and, if so, which colours exactly? Thanks in advance.

Iirc I think the silks on the bridge are gold, and the ball ends are also gold, I can remember correctly they were on a headless I ended up selling so this is based off old pictures I took of it
