How far away from you is the closest cow?

Well...I surely do love me some Bob Wills...As for the question of bovine proximity? I honestly have no idea. Probably closer than I would guess, though. This place still surprises me...
Two years on, and... I still have no idea where the nearest cow is. I guess I need to put "FIND NEAREST COW" on my "Things to while away my retirement" list, for next year. Riding season is coming to an end, here - for me, anyway. I've been frostbitten too many times, and can't do motorcycle rides when it's cold and damp, any more. October is about the last month I can ride, but this one is full of eye surgeries and doctor's appointments..
But, assuming I can still see next year? Definitely gonna find me some bovines...!
Beef cows? Not sure but I can hear them on quiet evenings.

...and we are not really all that close anymore like we were in highschool.
TL, DR. My home owner's insurance asked about the closest fire hydrant...the proximity of any bovine resources never entered the conversation.

I had a cow once. No one was happy with me afterwords.
Dunno, but not more than 3 miles. I live smack dab in the middle of suburbia, but I’m less than a half mile from the OSU airport. The university uses come land around the airport for grazing cattle & horses. When I was a kid, they held the “farm science review,” (an agricultural show) on the airport’s property, but it drew farmers from all over the Midwest, so they moved it out somewhere west of Columbus so as to stop clogging the suburban streets filled with rush hour traffic with farmers trucks and trailers.
