Holy crap! I've been totally looking into getting a uke from Kala!!!! I was going to get a tenor or a baritone ukulele, though. There is another bass ukulele maker that I found.

I picked up a koa uke last year and it's a great instrument to play. Good to see a bass version.

I think he said somewhere around $500ish retail if I remember correctly. The tenor solid mahogany with pickup retails for $420.

I would jump on one of these but they just wouldn't have any volume. That's why I'm probably going to opt for a tenor or baritone uke. I need something to rock out to unplugged.
