what do you prefer the new sadowsky pickups or the old EMGs he use to stick on them?

im in the market to buy a hand made jazz bass,

i have a ply double bass, czek made in the 60s sometime. i have a realistic pickup going into a 1x10 yamaha 400watt cab and a markbass 250 head. it sounds awful, very boomy and hollow, no thickness or definition, i cant get that smooth thick sound that everyone else gets. also my double bass...

i just got hold of an ODB3 and after years of not getting one becuase of ppl on forums saying it was rubbish, i am really pleased with it. I have owned a fulltone bass drive and i think that its not so hot, it did have the TS9 mid hump and loss of low end, so i had to re -eq my amp all the time...

Do the new Fender j basses made in usa have holes under the scratch plate like the last batch did? Otherwise you cant chuck away the scratch plates! cheers

I was looking at some photos on the sadowsky website and it seems that metros in tokyo are actually all built in shop, thats the story the photos tell on the website.

just need a list of the hand built jazz type basses out there and if there has already been a thread about this for the link(i have searched but can't find this topic) thankyou in advance
