To my fellow Olds:
Remember back in the newsprint day when the Sunday classifieds were the best of the week? Anyone else notice it’s the same way on TB? It is one of the pleasures of the week to see the surge of quality gear go on the block. Great marketplace experience, albeit without the...
It has been said that the recent surge in this instruments being offered with “roasted” necks for a the result of large scale production and a corresponding shortage of aged/naturally dried timber; essentially the roasting is a way of accelerating timber from tree to instrument. I don’t know if...
Does anyone else compulsively hit refresh on the classifieds several times each day, simultaneously hoping and fearing that one of your dream instruments will appear? A few times each year I’ll GAS for one or two (or three or four) things and will look the classifieds maybe five times a day...
Bought this gorgeous 2011 Fender Select P bass from a fellow TBer a few months ago. So far I haven’t been able to get comfortable with the thicker neck, as I’m accustomed to Jazz basses and my hands are on the smaller side of the bell curve.

Help!

I have a completely baseless, nonsensical, and unfair bias against the G&L headstock shape. Several other non-Fender or non-2+2 headstock shapes suffer from a similarly superficial encumbrance to a full embrace in my admittedly flawed estimation. I once felt the same way about the Ernie Ball...
