    Pitch tracking equalizer

Hi all, Does anyone know of a parametric equalizer that can change frequency based on the note being played? Basically a hardware version of the Sound Radix SurferEQ

My vocals through my bass rig???

OP is asking if you can, not if you should. I only do it for practice/rehearsals. I would never do it for a gig.

    Calluses

I am completely self taught from tabulature :hiding: (working on sheet music), no formal training, and have been playing for a couple of years now, and have never thought anything of it, but... I have just realized that on my fretting hand, on my pointer and middle fingers, my calluses are in...

My vocals through my bass rig???

I've done it before in a few of my bands practice sessions. not the best sounding, but good enough for vocals to be heard when the bands in full swing:bassist:. What we have is: SM58 -> MAudio FastTrack (for preamp) -> Aux in on Shuttle 9 -> Ashdown Mag 410. Only thing to be careful of...

    Mixing (no PA)

Greetings fellow TB'ers I had a practice session a few nights ago (2 guitars, drums and me, bass with only amps & cabs) and to cut to the chase, it was loud and there seemed to be clashing frequencies (such as one of the guitarists having his bass turned up to the point that I couldn't hear...

    Class D Amps

The first amp I had was definitely crossover distortion as I put a tone generator and oscilloscope on the output. The amp I have at the moment may not be crossover distortion, but there is definitely distortion on low frequency tones that is not there on the DI or headphone out on the pedal.

    Class D Amps

Hi all, I am in the market for a new amp and was looking for a few suggestions as to what is out there. I like to have a smooth, clean tone, which I have managed to dial in to my multi effects pedal, and I just need it to be amplified. I have had a bad experience with crossover distorion...

How often do you change batteries in your active instruments?

In my gig bag, I carry a multimeter wired to a TS plug, and I just plug it in the guitar jack. When my batteries are down to 9v (from 18v) I know its time to change.

    Felt Bass Guitar Picks

Today I had a thought about cutting the pick shape I use out of a cheap mousemat from work. After testing, to me it sounds the same as finger plucking, but with the feel of an albeit thicker pick. Its a cheaper option as you could cut a fair few pick shapes out of a $1.50 mousepad with the...

    Felt Picks

I sort of have the same situation, I can finger pluck, but i find it easier sometimes to use a pick. Today I had a thought about cutting the pick shape I use out of a cheap mousemat from work. After testing, to me it sounds the same as finger plucking, but with the feel of an albeit thicker...

if i wanted too add another pickup to my p bass

I took mine to a local guitar tech and he routed out the cavity (cost me $60), I wired it so both knobs are volume controls for each pickup, and let an EQ play with tone. Best thing I did, the higher end coming out of it is awesome for solos
