24 hours playing time. 3 weekends of 2 a night gigs. I play pretty heavy handed. I've watched many a bass player break strings, the bass player from the Doobie Bros. busted 3 the night I saw them.

I did a show with them in the late 90's. Hung out with the bass players tech while they did their show. Great bass player, really knew how to lay it down.

I change mine after about 24 hours playing time. If I don't I end up breaking them. If it is a high profile, and paying gig I'll go with new each show. My practice guitars around the house haven't been changed in several years.

Thats unusual. I have the Ampeg isovent, with the 2 bass speakers mounted face to face and wired out of phase. They do like to mess around at ampeg.
