Any badass pickup that can fit under the Pickupcover of a 51 P!

That's awesome! Now I got a few options to think about. Anyone here knows anything about the rickenbacker pickups, eg, how does it sound by itself? Will it turn any bass to ricenbacker tone or is ricenbacker tone comes from the construction of the guitar? Thanks

Any badass pickup that can fit under the Pickupcover of a 51 P!

Fair point. I just thought to myself that there are mini buckers made by Seymour Duncan's, there must be something similar in the bass world. Maybe a humbucker wired by 2 51 style p bass pu that can be coil taped. Cheers for the reply!

Any badass pickup that can fit under the Pickupcover of a 51 P!

Hey guys! I am currently building a 51 P and trying to think of what pickup to use, as I'm afraid the 1 single coil pu wont be deep and modern enough for my giging needs, yet I would still like to keep the vintage tone option available. Also I love the look of pickup covers! So I would like to...

tonal importance of bass body vs pickups?

Acoustic purely needs the vibration and sustain inorder to ring out loudly. because wood has less density (softer) than plastic, it'll vibrate more freely. [provide if i am correct on this one] but on the other hand there are guitar manufactures use carbon fiber for acoustic instrument... and...

tonal importance of bass body vs pickups?

Thx for replying. I haven't decide yet, it was more like a scenario that i would like to bring up in oder to make my point. I gig quiet often, about 1-2 gig per week, and I would rather a hard working workhorse than a shiny, blinding untouchable angel. hence my view on "Is a modded Squier...

tonal importance of bass body vs pickups?

I know this topic is very very subjective, and may have already covered, but i think it's still worth a chat :) So im looking at a mustang bass, and the Fender one is unbelievably more expensive than the Squier model, and i think to myself "hell, with the money of the fended, I could've get a...

    This tone?

it sounded like a blend of the ampeg and the darkglass. thats how he gets the clarity of the clean bottom end and a punch driven mid. unfortunately, 11 rack doesnt have a parallel signal chain like the line 6 HD500 does.

    What's in your rack?
