Any badass pickup that can fit under the Pickupcover of a 51 P!

Mine was the "vintage '51" I was gonna post a pic of it but I forgot I sold it in the ongoing purge of my long scale bass stuff.I got a birdsong and it kinda ruined me.That by the way has a Duncan cool rails p.u' in the neck position.I think you could put a cat turd in the neck position of that birdsong and it would sound good ,all at under 6 pounds!

I wish u have a photo to upload, so i can at least know how it will look like. This pickup thing is picking my brain, too many options, but i dont wanna wste this chance of building my ideal bass.
the worst part is i have to know what pickup im using before guys from MJT can go ahead and build the bass with that pickup route.
Tone chasing is a game that never stops.

You can't go wrong with lindy fralin.Maybe a call to lindy is in order. You can discuss exactly what you're looking for soundwise and you're size constraints. You'll probably want to get the p.u. choice right the first time if you can.

What was the outcome of discussions with Lindy Fralin?

I just installed the lindy 10% overwound dual coil 51p in a jazz neck position. A very "rounded" dynamic - focused fat thumpy compared to previous jazz neck pickups (including nj4, bartolini dual coil, aggie 70's wind). Chrome flatwounds on a hard neck (wenge, ebony).

Surprisingly I'm still waiting on the reply from fralin. That sounds pretty cool, right now I'm just saving more coins first. Cheers
