I liked the sunburst as well, but noticed in many photos online that the top pieces of wood very often had grains very different from each other and that turned me kinda off. Vintage white was the clear winner for me!

I measured it, inlays past 12th fret are off by 2mm. Nothing much, to be honest. The bridge is perfectly centered.

Yeah it sucks music stores have reduced value of instruments they keep in stock... Many of them just operate as internet shops. I will wait a bit to see if anything comes up in stock locally, I can find the player ii mod precision but not the yamaha.
