Coronavirus discussion thread - NO POLITICS, or "POLITICS by PROXY"

I have friends with cancer - one who recently recovered - if this had happened 2 years ago he would be dead now. Why were their lives not as important as the unknown ones who never showed up at our local hospital? Myopic virologists - and that is why virologists shouldn't be making these...

That's a straw man argument. I am not arguing what you said so I will not respond. Further the Illinois chief medical officer is not offering an opinion she is offering the facts on what is counted. She is quietly telling the truth. Besides this has been documented widely that the counting is...

that last paragraph - really ? Self serving - pretty convenient or maybe because autopsies are not done - and are called Covid deaths. The counting method is unscientific. The chief medical officer went out of her way to tell the truth - the counting is improper.

Its not novel - novel means new. They test by looking for Corona type RNA in your system - no ability to say which one. Its sars2 - its a mutated COVID virus - that's not novel. So why call it it novel when it simply is not true. Imperial college ... That has disturbed me from day 1 one why...

Thank you about 10 time loser Ferguson. He destroyed the beef industry in the UK. He said even with the destruction of herds - 50,000 people would get ill. I think it was 10-20. He has been predicting Spanish flu forever. The joke about Imperial college is they are the most successful - they...

Lord Kelvin - died 100 years ago — was a successful inventor, a wealthy businessman and perhaps the most important physicist of the 19th century. “To measure is to know.” “If you cannot measure it, you cannot improve it.” “When you can measure what you are speaking about, and express it in...

Little known fact Imperial College is the model we are following and Ferguson was the man behind the modelling - so I am not saying anything - just going to the source of most people's current belief - Ferguson - and he has changed his mind. Interesting information or not.

    Battery powered gigs

Does anyone have experience with battery powered equipment - or a good battery supply that can power 3 amps - guitar, bass and a pa amp for 2 vocals. 8-10 amps. Mixing to a drum sets acoustical level. Looking to get 2 hours. Have been doing street gigs courtesy of a few businesses who allow us...

I lost my cool with a bandmate.

In the passive aggressive victimhood society we now live in it is next to impossible to be good if you have to tip toe. That you have to tip toe at all is the problem. Telling a drummer that there is a difference between rehearsal and practice - er the guitarist, myself know our parts - we...

If god gave you $2,500 to spend ..

If god gave me $2500 to spend.... it certainly wouldn't be on a bass. Just imagine the pressure having received money from god ... it’s kinda like a test - it’d be Biblical. After getting over my disbelief - born again as it were - I’d take my time - gods got time - it would have to be a...

Gibson, Epiphone, Ibanez, Yamaha, Rickenbacker, Peavey - due to tone or looks or both. Fender - own 1 60's Precision - love it - would never buy another Fender P. That "P sound" - got it - I get it - sure fits in the mix in a unique and good way - deserves its cred but - many more...

    Your Pride & Joy

by 68 the Baldwin company owned Gretsch. They introduced the 2 pu models of both the Gentlemen and the Tennessean basses. For all the flack Baldwin gets - my two pu versions of the previously Gretsch owned guitars are the best constructions.

    Your Pride & Joy

The one on the far left - originally a 67 6070- I bought in the late 70’s for $100 - when they started appearing in shops 2nd hand and hollow bodies were in disfavor - I removed the frets and added a Pu from a 70’s Gretsch to the neck position. 2 super tron2’s. The tone on that one is gorgeous...

Why is one of my basses so much more difficult to play?

You say all strings are the same. My experience is same strings different bass - not the same. Strings on one bass do not necessarily sound or feel the same on a different bass.

Why are lined Fretless even a thing?

So people can steal your licks more easily. The people who look at frets. I thought was obvious. Its in the manual for fretless basses with lines.

e-bow on fretless as practice tool
