Thanks all for the advice! Really helpful. Unfortunately as it is a dep gig there is no opportunity for rehearsal so I am going in blind. I have learnt the songs as they are played live, so will be as prepared as I can be in that regard.

How would you recommend doing so? I live in a flat with my partner so I always play through them so as not to disturb her or the neighbors; usually along with spotify. Would this be enough? Thanks, T

I use my Fender Deluxe Jazz for this a lot. Always have rounds on that. Obvs neck pickup, mids up, bass mid to full, treble down maybe half way, play up near the neck or play with your thumb, palm muting down by the bridge. You can do a lot of tone shaping with your hands alone. Maybe have a...
