Fender releases for 2019 any dates?

Im googling my tail off and finding nothing on what I am looking for, just the same press releases over and over. So I am posting here in hopes someone can give me a general idea when the releases happen each year, specifically I am looking at the Squier Classic Vibe basses.

I play a fender P, but the weight is getting too much. Looking for lighter bass w/great bassy tone?

Made in Mexico (the current Player series, for example, are MIM) Made in Japan = MIJ Made in America = MIA Made in China = MIC etc. Waiting on those, looking at the 4 string 70s Jazz.

Absolutely love the ashtrays, classic look.

    My P Bass Refurb

I like those knobs! Keep em, be U Nee Q. They look like old Amp knobs. Nice job on the clean up.

I'm ready to throw in the towel (5 string).

Not truding through 6 pages so bear with me replling to OP; I do not yet have a fiver, but my next, very soon (probably 5-6 months out) I plan to have one. I view it as a 4 string that I can play the lower E string notes on higher frets. The only reason someone would have to "have" a fiver...

    A 5'er on a budget? Sigh. (and I mean, a BUDGET)

Love the look of this bass, my future first fiver.

Please be sure to let me know how you feel about it if you do purchase one. A lot of bass snobbery drives me from decisions I would otherwise make, coming in with the facesmashing "or you will regret it" implication, which I shouldn't allow to happen.

But...you just compared them! I was looking at the MIM since I do not like the switches all over the standard jags (MIA/MIJ/CIJ) either. Also the CIJ I have found are Jazz pups. I like to hear good things about Squier. Perhaps my future bass will be exactly what you have done, get the...

Thanks for all the help guys, I will keep my eyes out on the MIJ/CIJ in the future, for now I went with the TMB600.

    Tuning the bass by ear...

Not sure what you mean, I just need to establish the E (or any open string) and the rest is cake? Do you not hear strings that are out of tune when played? I easily hear that *wah-wah* out of tune fluctuation due to the difference in tuning. I guess I am not understanding the OP's plight.

I made my choice already, thanks though. As pointed out by Thudd above the american made fender jag was only produced in 2015 so getting one looks very scarce. I can live with my choice for a year or longer until I come across one, or by then have moved on to other pastures. It's not a Fender...

Beat you to it, check the post directly above yours! :) but thanks, took me some time to find the 600, I had been pretty set on the 3 original choices but the 600 5 string is another 50 USD I can deal with. Funny how everything is just that little bit more and it's never ending, like my...

I made my decision. Gonna bite down on an Ibanez TMB600 5 string as soon as sweetwater gets the 5ers in. Nordstrand pups and I like the wood grain look, even if it's glossy.

I just caught this, wow I like that double jazz+precision even more than the 100. :/ what..to..do...and a jag shape for sex appeal...

    Jaguar choices

Yeah I am avoiding an SS, I have 2 right now (Epi EB0 and Hofner Igni, though the Hofner feels longer than that) as I am 6'1" and playing while seated get's awkward wrist crunch on the Epi. Same here, just not sure if the nearly 500 USD difference is enough of a quality difference to distance...

Thanks for finding that Thud. With it being only a one year run and me wanting a Jag or PJ nao it doesn't help with the "save and get a MIA" thought line. So still considering the 3 options, Ibanez TMB 100, Squier PJ or MIM Jag. I could just get the Ibanez for 200 USD and start looking ahead...

    Jaguar choices

Being budget minded needs to be under 1k, the closer or lower than 500 (USD) the better. Is the price point difference worth it? 3 choices I am looking at: Ibanez TMB100 vs Squier Jag vs MIM Jag As far as I can tell there is no MIA Jag? I don't have a music store anywhere near me I can try...

    Fender Rumble Club

Just getting back into bass after 25 year departure so I am not extremely keen on the latest things, but isn't a USB out on a 25w amp a bit unique? It appears to be some sort of small studio amp?

I play a fender P, but the weight is getting too much. Looking for lighter bass w/great bassy tone?

I wanted to suggest this but I believe the OP is limiting it further to P bass? or P bass'like.

Epiphone Allen Woody Rumblekat, named from the bassist, you are thinking of the actor.

    Solid budget Rock bass?

Alright thanks guys, I will continue to follow this thread but I get what I kinda expected, a player P or J. One last Q though, what about a Player Jag? Never played a Jag and I like the body shape.

    Solid budget Rock bass?

Thanks for that, I had not seen this bass before. It's a jag, which I am very interested in, so that brings me to ask how does it fair versus a Squier PJ?

    Solid budget Rock bass?

Currently have an EB0 (Epi) and a Hofner Igni coming in, I want a third sound, a more rounded sound such as for Rock and some light metal (as in IM, Metallica, etc). 4 or 5 string though I have never owned a 5 string. Just returning to playing bass after a 25 year departure so pretty much a...

    Advice on Amp/Cab choice

I am returning from a ~25 year split with playing bass, life tore me away. So basically I am a beginner all over again. Jumping back in with low price gear for two reasons: 1: I am frugal and have a spending limit and 2: I don't want to spend a lot then have to shelve the "hobby" again (I...
