I really like the Epiphone Jack Casady Signature Bass but the problem is the strap peg is located at the neck heel so there is always a bit of neck dive. So I guess what I am looking for is:
1. Semi-hollow
2. A Longer upper-horn(at least touches the 12th fret) for the strap
3. around 42mm nut...
Does this bass exist as a production model?
Fretless(prefer unlined fretboard)
Semi hollow or Hollow Body
Long Upper Horn(as long as it reaches the 12th fret so no neck dive)
P Bass Nut Width(41+mm)
4-string
Most semi hollow basses I've seen had the really short upper horn that I don't like...
There are lots of 33" scale basses, I've seen them custom made from Muckelroy, Stambaugh, F bass, Sugi, etc. There is one on Reverb right now if you search 33 scale in the bass section.
Have been wanting a 33" scale 4er with a 41-43mm P bass nut width. Never got the luck to come across one, don't wanna go for a custom one either cuz I might end up not liking it.
If anyone has a bass that checks the boxes pls let me know thanks.
Wow! Thank you so much, this helps a lot! I also see some Squire "Bullet Bass" from the 1984-87 era, and it seems like some of them come with 32" scale and some with 34", do you also know what the deal is with the bullet basses? Thank you!
I have been gasing on the fretless 5 string version of that bass for a while actually, do you recommend it based on your in-store experience? Thank you!
Hey guys do y'all know any basses like the Andrew Jackson' Fodera and Thunder cat's Ibanez signature models? They both have THICK bodies that make that very resonant sound. Thank you!

Hello can anyone recommend me a 5-string fretless with a Semi-hollow or completely hollow construction? The only basses I know that check the boxes are the Ibanez SRH505F and the Spector Core bass. Would like to know more, my budget is around 1k USD, definitely no more that 2k. Thanks...
Hey guys I kinda like the muddy/dark Thunderbird sound when playing with a pick but hate the guitar's ergonomics. Is there another option that comes with two mud-buckers and better ergonomics? The Epiphone Embassy looks like it's gonna have less neck dive than the Thunderbird due to the longer...
