Hey all, so I know this is going to seem like a stupid question, but what bass guitar would best emulate the tone of the kontakt rickenbacker plugin? The reason why I ask is because everyone who has a rickenbacker says the plugin sounds nothing like the real thing(which is fine with me), I just...
Hi everyone.
So I've been hunting for a bass for studio duties and have come down to either a yamaha bbne2 or a 5 string Sadowsky. The genres I'm looking to use this bass for would be along the lines of deep house, french house, uk garage, soul, r&b, and pop.
I was wondering if y'all had any...
Very true. The main reason I'd want a 5 string is for the extended range and for the fact that Sadowskys might be one of the only basses where the notes on the low B are able to be really resonate whereas they can be flabby or buzzy on a lot of other 5 strings.
I had no idea about the pickup differences when I've been debating whether to get a 5 or 4 string. Definitely something to factor in. Can anyone share their experience with the Verdine White versions of the metrolines?
Yeah I'm looking for a bass to primarily use for recording purposes. I debated between going for a p bass with flatwounds setup and just sticking with that one sound for everything, or going with an active jazz that has a super wide range of tones. I landed on going with a jazz, but people talk...
Ahh okay I see, thanks for breaking down the specs. One of the main reasons I want a Sadowsky is for its hum cancelling pickups so I think i'll stay clear of the WL models.
Wow super interesting info. Maybe looking for a Japanese model is worth it. I wish I could just sit in a store and try all of them out in hand, I'd be able to make a decision in a second if I could do that lol. Since you have a Will Lee model, do you mind sharing your experience with it and how...
Thanks for these videos! I saw them when I was doing research but i didn't click through since i thought they might be outdated but I'm glad to see the whole process and what goes into making these instruments sounding as good as they do. I was hesitant about buying a german model at first and...
I'm not a guitar expert so can you help explain how chambering makes a huge difference. Does it just make the guitar lighter so that it's more ergonomic?
Wow a response directly from you is much appreciated sir! Thank you for the advice as well, it looks like my hunt continues. I'll try to find what I'm looking for in the states I guess. It's quite difficult to decide on one of your basses, they're all amazing. Thank you for your work!
So after sifting through this forum I have come across people stating that earlier german models had some electronic issues. If I buy a german made sado model from 2021 do y'all think I will be in the clear? I ask because I'd be buying it from Japan and i live in California so if something is...
I'd like to spend anywhere between $2000-$3000 but the absolute top of my budget is $3400 which would include the shipping fees and internet sales tax.
Hey everyone, I've been on the hunt for a sadowsky bass on reverb and have come across multiple types and would appreciate any kind of advice on which way to go. I want to go with the metroline with HC pickups but with variations like ash vs red alder, maple vs rosewood, LE versions vs Will Lee...
