I'll meet the teacher on Wednesday. I've spoken with her on the phone and she sounded very intelligent and seemed super excited about the prospect of taking my music to a different level. We'll see how we mesh. I usually get along with everyone. First impressions were positive.

It weighs in at exactly half a bazillion micrograms. And I suspect you misspelled 'tart' ... I actually made an apple tart last February.

It was his simpler charts from the Mothers of Invention days. We certainly weren't doing "Pedro's Dowry" or "The Black Page." Hardest one, for me, was the entire "Holiday in Berlin" suite. We also did ridiculously simple Zappa tunes like "Charva" and "Valarie."

Time saver sounds good. In the Zappa cover band I was in it took me months to memorize all that stuff. While my reading bandmates all waited.

    Paul Klipsch's Tombstone

That's bizarre. I was stuck in construction when I went! You are absolutely correct regarding TG. Now I'm hungry. I was in Hope documenting the Klipsch Museum for the Encyclopedia of Arkansas. Saw some amazing things not yet on view. Paul Klipsch was a character indeed!

Growing Up In Rock 'n Roll

Although Dad never worked for ZZ Top, bands he did work for often shared a stage with them. One of the reasons my folks' marriage worked so well was that they traveled together. Growing Up In Rock 'n Roll

One time Connie (Ruby) and I went to a party in Mountain Home. She got into a drinking contest with a couple of my pals. She drank them both under the table. I'll never forget her standing over them, chugging Jack Daniels, and yelling at them, "Pussies! Get up you pussies!"
