I want to buy a fiver to be my main axe, and I've narrowed the search to these 2 between which it's very hard to decide... I already have a Yamaha BB 4-string modded with DiMarzio Model PJs and strung with flats for the Fender sound, and I want in this fiver something reliable, modern, and...

    NBD Ibanez Affirma

Excited about this one - New to me Ibanez Affirma in walnut. Beautifully built, light, with a great feel. I’ve played it for about an hour and I’m already comfortable with it. Enough so that I’ll probably play it at tomorrow’s gig. Big thanks to TB member ProjectGenome04 for making this possible!

NBD: An original Ibanez Affirma AFR 105 from the 90s! A dream come true!

The one on the right just arrived today. I've had the reissue for a few months and absolutely love it, but have always wanted one of the originals. Had my chance and I took it. Very glad I did! I've always wanted one of these since I started playing bass in 2002ish. Going to do a 3 part video...

need help finding passive pickups for Ibanez SR800... aka QP's don't fit!

I have an 1992 MIJ SR800 that I'm trying to convert from the active AFR pickups and circuitry to a passive bass. Sounds easy, doesn't it? I thought it would be. Turns out the Quarter Pound pickups don't fit and now I'm super confused as to why or what to try next... or if this is a doomed...
