Alas, my trust in the marketplace led me to this bass. I was assured it was a short scale through multiple messages but upon receipt, it was indeed a 34" scale. Having moved to short scale basses due to a shoulder injury, I am offering her up to another and merely trying to recoup my initial...
If anyone owns an epiphone elitist eb3, could you please post a picture of the wiring? My varitone switch recently came loose and ripped the wires out. I can’t find any online so if anyone has one, please take a picture for me so I can get back to playing this amazing bass. Thanks!
Normally on a tone control you'd expect turning it to 10 would have tone on full brightness. However, I recently found it had the opposite effect on this EB-0 bass I've now had for quite a while.
I'm soon replacing the pickup anyway as it is not the best, but I was wondering why the EB-0 stock...
What do you think? I have a sterling music man stingray and would like to add a vintage sounding passive bass to my collection. Kind of the opposite side of the tone spectrum of the Stingray. I love the look of the Sg bass and I know jack Bruce played a Gibson version which is 30” scale (the epi...
Hi. I got myself an Epiphone EB3. First the good parts: the neck is THE BEST I have ever seen on bass. Folks say Ibanez necks are good? Epiphone neck is 10 times more comfortable. Mine came with enchanced full contact bridge and hard case for $200 shipped.
The bad. - Sound.
The sound of Epiphone...
String dilemma.
I am in a position where I have in my hands 3 sets of new strings and in my other hand my Epiphone eb3 bass.
GHS Brite Flats
D'addario ECB81
D'ADDARIO ETB92
I currently have Fender flats on this bass and wondering how (any) of these strings will work with the eb3. I have the...
Here's how to ring in the new year: I had a retired Ampeg V4-B head in the closet; a guy on the local Craigslist had this lawsuit-era Ibanez SG bass and was open to trades. Having recently gotten into vintage Japanese basses and never had a twin-humbucker bass before.... GAS strikes again...
Gibson's Epiphone model. Full 34" Scale Length. Rosewood fret board with cool trapezoid inlays. Mahogany body and neck .Two volume and two tone controls, three way pickup selector switch, two humbucking pickups. Generic hard shell case included. My scale has this bass at a 8.6 pounds. The $290...

Hello, I have been able to save up enough money to buy a new bass and I was wondering about the sound of the Long Scale (34" length) Epiphone EB-3 Bass.. The sort of music I play is faster old school sounding punk and Im looking for a tone that would sound growly and not too dull (that old short...
Hi Everyone!
I have been playing for about 1 year now and I am really liking the instrument!
I have played in a band setting with friends from work for fun doing covers. I am not currently playing with others, but will soon in future
My question is what makes effective practice? I have been...
i don't know about you, but i have been very disappointed with the amount of output i get from the bridge pickup on my EB3.
I have to pluck the strings right in the PU's face to get any close to the volume i have from the neck sidewinder PU.
Don't know if the pickup is not right for the...
Hi, I recently received a brand new Epiphone EB3 (SG) bass for my birthday and I've had quite a few issues with it since then. At first the bass kept cutting out and crackling, then the neck pickup stopped working altogether. I have since had this repaired and it works fine, but unfortunately...
I am in love with the original Gibson EB-3 60s Bass and i would love to own one someday in my life. But right now i dont have 3000$ to spend on bass so long story short i ended up searching for the best replica/copy that will sound closer to the original. Right now I have 3 choices:
1. Gibson...
Found a place to cut me a replacement pickguard for my EB3 - WD Custom Pickguards. Virgil Lock is the manager of the pickguard department, and is very good, easy to work with! Here are a few photo's of his work. Pictures don't do it justice!
I have an EB3 bass in cherry, and I think it would look really fantastic with a white pearloid pickguard, instead of the stock black 3 ply it has. I have seen pictures of the EB3 in black with a white pearloid guard, but I can't seem to find one for sale. Outside of having one custom cut for me...
