The first bass I ever owned.
Peavey Fury, circa '96. Originally candycane colors: red with white. Krylon'd via the pseudoprofessional rattlecan advice from the friend who taught me the basic math of bass guitar as well as the basic "tape it & spray it" painting method he had been using for a few...
Hey all grabbed this up today.
I think it's a 1995 it was offered locally and the price to good to pass up. USA Peavey Fury. Lots of goodies with it, 4 cables, picks, new clip lock strap, a nice padded gig bag and a new Proline wall hanger, just wanted to share it, thanks for looking, take care...
Got a good deal on it and bought this bass this weekend! I've seen some videos and heard good things about it, but can't find much online.. can anyone tell me more about it?
It was said to be from the 80's, and the headstock differs from those I've seen from the 90's, but can anyone confirm...
For all you Peavey Fans I have A early 80's made in in good old U.S of A Peavey Fury all original very unique metallic blue, in great condition for its age. I bought it because I always wanted to own a Pbass. Played fender Pbass in the past. IMHO this Pbass is right up there with fender in...

Would it make sense to refret a 90's maple Peavey Fury neck (in part) to resolve a ski jump issue?
I leveled and crowned the frets, which helped a lot and it plays fine, but the frets are pretty flat now.
I've admittedly been looking for a reason to try my first refret and this bass seems...

Early ‘80s Peavey gear scratches a particular itch for me, and this checks all the boxes: pointy logo on the headstock and pickup and knobs, triangular string tree, burly, and to the point—a perfect pairing with the quarantine rig.
Already disappointed that my shiny new pickguard didn’t fit, it really bummed me out when I screwed the pots and jack back into the old one only to find that my previously perfectly playable Peavey Fury now made no sound. I have swapped out pickguards on other instruments a few times now and...
I have frequently suggested that those in the USA looking for a decent starter rig on a budget track down the ubiquitous ‘80s or ‘90s Peavey combos and the somewhat less ubiquitous Peavey basses of the same period. While I have almost always had Peavey amplification of that era in my stable, and...
Hey guys, I was wondering if someone knows where to buy these Peavey basses? I googled my ass off trying to find a deal for this beauty but no luck. I should note that going to thrift stores or pawn shops is not really an option since I live in country where those are not very popular. Some...
