Up for sale is a 1970s vintage set of Fender logo stamped bass tuning machines for either Precision or Jazz Bass. They are fully functional and perfect for replacement or vintage rebuild. They have the scratches and patina one would expect from a ~50 year old vintage part. The original ferrules...

Hello. I'm looking to purchase a Hipshot BT12 Bass Xtender but it seems to be sold out everywhere. Does anyone have a used one they are willing to sell or a line on any retailers / resellers that may have one for purchase?
Thanks, all.
Like all the other parts I'm listing, these are BRAND NEW.
So here's the story: I bought these for a project I've been working on but my wife's favorite musician has a concert coming to our area and I would REALLY like to get her front row seats for Valentine's Day before they sell out. So...

This set of vintage Fender bass tuners is from a 1977 Fender USA Precision bass. They are era correct for most mid - late 70's Fender basses (made by Schaller Germany for Fender).
They are Used and in Good Condition for their age; nice light patina and pitting from normal aging and use, would...
Hi!
I have a wonderful 2009 50's Road Worn Precision Bass which is a wonderful instrument but is also neck heavy. I wonder if there are any direct replacement tuners I could buy and install without having to drill extra holes etc. I actually purchased a roasted maple replacement neck which is...

Hey everyone! I'm in the market for a used set of tuning keys for this bass I'm building.
Gotoh GB350 Resolite or Hipshot USA "Y" shape keys
Chrome or "shiny nickel"
2x2 headstock (Hipshot USA tuners are reversible so 4 inline tuners would be OK there)
3/8" pegs
Thanks!
Hi Fellow Bassist.
This is an “OPINIONATED” post that seeks the “opinions” of other fellow bassist.
I have been assessing hipshot hardware over gotoh hardware. I find that in my opinion “Gotoh” is of better quality and of more variety than hipshot. It appears that people like hipshot because...
This is, in all likelihood, the only sealed ‘mini’ bass tuner ever made with a Fender-size 1/2” post.
Gotoh made these for Ibanez in the late 1970s and early 80s, used mostly on Roadstar II and Musician basses.
Gotoh never released a version under their own brand, and oddly, nobody else...
Up for grabs is a set of 4 locking Sperzel tuning keys. These are currently set up as 2x2 but can be reversed, if need be.
Signs of wear / some scratches / not perfect cosmetically but function as they should. Nothing major, just “roadworn” (heh.)
Sperzels are my favorite type of tuning keys...

I have several basses that are 20 to 25 years old. Several spacers (or bushings) between the 2 pieces of the handle are broken or missing completely.
Does anyone have a source of small nylon spacers or bushings? I can't be the first person to deal with this!
I placed an order for some Rickenbacker tuning keys 6 months ago.
They didn't have the bushing available back then, they wanted to keep the money and send me the keys when everything was available. I kindly asked them to be refunded, they refunded me.
6 months have passed, yesterday, to my last...
I recently came into possession of this MusicMaster Bass and don't know anything about it. Fender Said based upon the serial numbers it was around a 1977 or 78. However being it was in the CBS years they didn't have any other info. I don't believe the hardware or electronics to be original...
Does anyone know the exact measurements of the Allparts TK-7567 lightweight wide post bass tuning key (product page)? There is no available diagram or overall drawing of this tuner; I wonder if someone from the TB community knows it by experience.
These are brand new, never installed fender
tuners. I decided not to move forward with the build I was gonna use them for so they are up for grabs!
Just a heads up, I put these on another bass with an MIM neck and the bushings seemed a little small but then they sat fine when the key was under...

I have a very good condition set of Schaller tuners that came off a 2012 Spector EURO6LX bass. These are stamped Made in Germany. I bought them as replacements for my NS-2, but they are not the correct screw layout, as my NS-2 has the older version (and I didn’t check first). They do fit the...

Has anyone here ever tried to "disassemble" a tuning machine? I'm curious if the cylinder part of the tuning machine can be removed and replaced with a different one from another tuning machine. Thanks

This set of Schaller M4S 22:1 Gear Ratio tuning keys is Used but in Very Good Condition. 1/2"shafts, bushings fit 17mm (11/16") holes. No mounting screws, just requires you to drill mounting holes on the back of the headstock. I believe these are direct fit replacements for the tuners used on...

Hello everybody,
I recently purchased this MX pbass neck "ROASTED MAPLE PRECISION BASS® NECK, 20 MEDIUM JUMBO FRETS, 9.5", MAPLE, C SHAPE ". I wanted to know which tuning machines I can install (maybe something modern, like the new american ultra basses). Thanks, Hello.
Hey everyone,
I have a 1978 (or 1977?) Fender Musicmaster and I need to replace the tuning machines on it. Anyone have any recommendations of ones that fit the best that also won't break the bank too bad? Thanks!
These tuning keys came off of a 1989 SB-2 neck. According to G&L they will fit any G&L bass. Each of these are approximately one ounce heavier than the new G&L Ultralites.
They have some oxidization but are fully functional and smooth turning with no bends, damage, or notable marks. This sale...

When replacing strings on my Fender jazz bass I cut the E string a tad short and it only wraps 1.5 times around the tuning peg. Seems like most conventional wisdom is to have it wrap 2-3 times.
I know that this could make the string trickier to keep in tune, but does anybody know if wrapping...
These have been on a couple of basses, my old Rickenbacker 4005WB, and my former Fender California Precision Special, which is how they are currently set up. Included are both the cloverleaf and Y keys so you can set these tuning keys up how ever you'd like and they are easily changed over from...
