Funny. In reality, it probably is only a cheap grille replacement away from another few decades of service anyway.

Depends on what's under that grille. If the foam under it disintegrated long ago, even the capsule is probably full of the spit of a thousand singers cranking out 'Don't Stop Believin'' long after they should have stopped believing.
Instead of "gently used", they could of went with "broken in".
If they used it a little less gently, it could double as an ice cream scoop
You’d be surprised - I have seen 58’s with that level of grille danage that, once they gota new grille, worked just fine.
There are so many fake 58's out there that one that looks like that but still works just proves its authenticity.
Previously owned by Roger Daltrey... for one song.
Forget the $80, but if I were there, I'd unscrew the ballhead screen and it very well may be the cartridge is just fine. I'd have to plug it in and hear it to be sure.
Great venue! I loved playing the Ogden, way back in the early "aughts"...sound was always fantastic
