'09 MIM P-Bass Pickup

I recently bought a 2009 Fender MIM P-Bass and I am looking at changing out the pickup and replacing it with a '62 reissue p-bass pickup. I am wondering how the '62 reissup pickup would sound compared to the stock pickup that is on my bass right now. I play Blues and Folk, so I don't want a progressive sound, I want a thick classis p-bass sound.

I haven't A/B'd the MIM and U.S. Fenders in awhile, but my impression has always been that the MIM pickups are hotter, and possibly thicker sounding, but less refined than the U.S., whether American Standards or Vintage with the "Original '62" pickups. You'll get more clarity with the Original, but not necessarily more low end.
